2011-2012 CLUB SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

 

Feb. 7 & 21 Club Meeting: Skyline Country Club, Route 7 Lanesboro, MA @ 7:00 PM.

Cancelled Feb. 5, 2012 PONTOOSUC LAKE PICNIC: Ride sign in 9:30 am-10am lower parking lot by Pontoosuc Lake boat ramp. Ride leaves @10am from lake, Picnic will be 12 -4 PM, picnic will be held in the upper parking lot.

  • Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served, free for BSS members, all others cost $5 per person, maximum $10 per family. Must show your pink trail pass for proof of membership.     Cancelled  Feb. 11, 2012 FRAN’S 100 MILE CLUB RIDE!

  • A 100 mile follow-the- leader trail ride utilizing SAM & club trails. The ride starts at Mt. Greylock’s Visitor Center parking area in Lanesboro, MA at 8:30 AM and will be paced for all to enjoy, with breaks at 15 mile intervals. The ride will take us to a lunch stop somewhere (probably Florida, Monroe, Worthington, or Cheshire), depending on snow/trail conditions and traffic. For members wanting to ride a shorter ride (about 30 miles), you can meet up with the ride at 10:30 AM in Windsor at Sangar’s Store, ride to lunch with the main group, then return to Windsor as the main group returns to Greylock. Please note that the ride priority is for all members to be safe and have fun so please refrain from bringing alcoholic beverages. For those interested in going to breakfast before the ride, we’ll meet at Bob’s Country Kitchen Restaurant in Lanesboro at 7:30 AM. Contact Fran Ouellette @ (413) 442-7450 for details.

                                                            Pittsfield State Forest. Ride sign in 9:30am-10am, ride leaves @10am. Hamburgers, hot dogs and of course chili after
                                                            the ride, free event for BSS members, all others $5/person, max. $10/family. Must show your pink trail permit for proof of
                                                            membership. Bring your own beverages, alcohol is not allowed in the state forest.

                                                            March 4, 2012 WINDSOR MYSTERY RIDE

                                                            Windsor Rod and Gun Club, Rt.9 Windsor, MA

                                                            Ride Starts At 10:00 AM, Lunch Starts at Noon (we think)

                                                            FREE FOR BSS MEMBERS!

                                                            Must show your pink copy of trail permit for proof of membership.

                                                            All others $5 per person, maximum $10 per family

                                                            The trail master doesn’t know where the ride will go and the chef doesn’t know what is for lunch, that’s why it is a
                                                            mystery ride and lunch! Don’t ask where the ride is or what is for lunch, but if you have any other questions
                                                            call Don Allard 413-684-3773.

                                                            Lunch will be rain or shine, ride will weather permitting!
